5,5 km – run around Ramsen
A short but unusually fun and beautiful course. You see three lakes, cross two bridges and some wilderness in between. Do you run slowly or do you run really fast? The race is suitable for both those who want to take it easy and walk in beautiful nature and those who want to run fast and have a challenge with technical sections. There are tricky sections that are easy to walk over, but harder to run fast over. Halfway there is a refreshing fluid control with fruit and sweets.

All distances marathon, half-mara, 10 km and 5 km start and finish in Fjällnora by the lake Trehörningen, the same day. Mountain nora is located 20 minutes east of Uppsala, one hour north of Stockholm. The 5 km race starts at 11:30, 30 minutes after the 10 km race. If you have friends who run other distances, they won't have to wait long.
Start time: 11:30
The elevation difference is no more than 22 meters from the lowest to the highest point, but there are a couple of short and steep slopes, so be prepared to walk, even if you are fit.
Easy to find: All courses are well marked and easy to find. You follow green squiggles all the way. At the end you will see some blue squiggles, where your course meets the 10 km course.
Regular running shoes work great, but if you have special trail shoes, they will be useful, especially if it has been raining.

The 5 km race starts at 11:30 and is the only race where you start by running south. The first 800 m are on the gravel road south before you turn into the forest. From the eastern shore of Ramsen, the path goes deeper into the forest before you come down to the wooden bridge again. Here you get a beautiful view between the lakes Ramsen and Norrsjön. There is also a hydration station here (approximately at 3 km). Take the opportunity to fill up on energy, because you have 2,5 km left.

The path first runs along the lakeside in a deciduous forest for a couple of hundred meters, then turns right and follows the shore. You come to a short, steep hill and a bit into the forest. Another steep downhill and a steep uphill.
You run high above the lake among pine trees and boulders. People have run the wrong way here. Maybe you look too much at the view or where you put your feet. But don't worry, there are several paths that lead you in the right direction. Keep right and you will come to Pålsundet, the strait between Ramsen and Trehörningen.
Normally there is a raft here that you pull yourself across with a chain. On race day we arrange a temporary pontoon bridge. So you run on for a couple of hundred meters and finally you arrive in Fjällnora. Sprint to the finish line where you get your well-deserved medal.
