General information:

  • Safety is an absolute requirement. As an official, you are responsible for your own safety, but you must also make the race safe for the runners. If something life-threatening has happened, call 112. If you discover something that poses a risk, you must report it immediately by calling 073-610 84 03 (alternatively 070-3636262). Make sure that you can get in touch with others and that you have received information about the race.
  • Your most important job is to give the runners a pleasant experience. Be nice, keep it clean and tidy. Think that you can be the first encounter with the race and Sweden, that you are happy and friendly can give the runners a memory for life! The runners can be stressed and worried. Some will have their worst day of their lives. All runners deserve to be treated like heroes. Applause and encourage!!!!
  • It is important that the last runners reach the finish line safely. That is why we need to keep track of the number tags of the last runners at each distance. Sometimes it is unclear who is last. For example, a cyclist may say that someone is last, but have missed a person who ran the wrong way or was sitting on the toilet just as the cyclist passed. So keep track of the numbers of the last runners, especially at the marathon distance.

    Half of the participants are from abroad, so be prepared to be asked a question in English and say something nice in English.

We will also show respect and cooperate with landowners and neighbors. We will be grateful that we are allowed to run across private land and on public roads. We have applied for permission from
– The municipality (because we have an event in a nature reserve)
– The police (to hand out tickets at the Travel Center, but permission is not needed to organize races outside densely populated areas)
– County Administrative Board and the Swedish Maritime Administration (because we are closing Pålsundet next to Fjällnora)
– Landowners, everyone we know and whose land we cross.

Materials are stored in two places: Marielund 170 (at Jonas Pertoft's home) and at starting area in Fjällnora (only the day before and after the race day).
