Download number tags
The best and easiest way is to pick up your bib in Uppsala two days before the race. Alternatively, pick it up on site in Fjällnora in the morning. It's easy, you will receive your bib, four safety pins and – if you wish – a reusable cup called Hydrapouch.
Alternative 1 is to pick up your number tag at the Travel Center (Uppsala Central Station) on Thursday or Friday the day before the race between 11:00 and 19:00. We have a table outside the Travel Center near the passage under the tracks. Link to Google maps . Please note that this is on the west side. (The buses on the race day leave from the east side).
Another option is to pick up your race number in Fjällnora on race day, no later than half an hour before the start.
Bus from Uppsala
We offer free direct buses from Uppsala and back. They depart from the Travel Center in Uppsala, stop E3 (on the east side of the tracks!).
When you register, you can click that you want to take the bus, and what time. If you haven't chosen a bus but want to go anyway, that's fine - but if, against all odds, a bus is full, let the others get on first and in the worst case, you'll get standing room (this hasn't happened so far).
Find Fjällnora
The start and finish are at Fjällnora outdoor center for all races.
- Bus 809 or 810 takes about 20 minutes from the Travel Center. Get off at the Fjällnora stop. Please note that there are approximately 3 km left to Fjällnora. www.ul.se. On the day of the competition, our own buses, see above.
- By car it takes about 25 minutes from Uppsala (20 minutes from E4). You drive on road 282 and the exit towards Fjällnora is clearly marked. Parking in Fjällnora is free.
- It is excellent for cycling (approximately 18 km from the Travel Centre). There is a cycle path all the way to Gunsta, then cycle along county road 282 until you reach the exit to Fjällnora.
- The steam locomotive Lennakatten runs but is not suitable for runners. You take the train to Selknä and there a connecting vintage bus will wait for the last part. See the Lennakatten timetable here.
Insurance and security
- All participation is at your own risk. You are responsible for your own insurance, both on the way to and from the race and during the race. The race takes place on busy roads and forest trails.
- Notify an official that you are canceling so we don't have to look for you.
- Call 112 if you need emergency medical care, or contact an official for easier re-bandaging.
- You can also call 076-0184323 (backup number 070-3636262) if you are lost or need other help.
Timing and diploma
Timing is done using a chip in your number tag. If you want a diploma with a time, print it yourself at home. This way, we don't print any unnecessarily and you don't have to lose or forget your diploma.
Equipment and storage
- When you arrive at the start, you can leave your bag and we will guard it while you run. The start and finish are at the same place.
- Usual running shoes and clothes according to the weatherBut please note that some parts of the course may go over wet forest paths, with roots and branches.
- If it's sunny, don't forget sunscreen and one cap or hat to protect your head from the sun.
- Smartphone can be good as extra safety, especially on longer runs. Also credit card or another payment method can be good to have with you, in case you want to buy, for example, an ice cream or t-shirt. Fjällnora café prefers payment via card, but they also accept cash.
- Feel free to bring your own cup or mug. We want to reduce the number of disposable cups, it should be neat and tidy. Instead, you can quickly pour a drink into a mug brought with you. However, there will be disposable cups at all stations for those who need them.
- We will distribute a so-called Hydrapouch for those who wish. It is a smart silicone mug specially adapted for running that you attach with a clip.
- At the hydration stations and at the finish line we offer water, sports drinks and other energy. This is usually enough for most runners, but if you have special needs or wishes, you are welcome to bring what works for you.
- We recommend that you bring swimwear and towel – a swim after the race is the best reward!
- It might also be a good idea to pack dry clothes to change into after the race, especially if you are running one of the longer distances, or if it is raining.
Babysitting and dogs
- We offer childcare, but please contact us beforehand to find out how we can arrange this!
- Dogs are welcome to join the run, but please contact us beforehand so we can resolve situations if there are runners who are afraid of dogs.
Fluid and nutrition
- There are a total of 17 hydration stations distributed over the different distances, the distance between the stations is short, usually only 3 km. Whoever runs 5,5 km has only one station and at the start/finish.
- All the hydration stations have water and most also have sports drinks, the selection at the stations will vary. On the longer routes there are bananas, buns and energy gel at a couple of places. More information will be available in the days before the start.
- You who run the longer races marathon and half marathoners may want to carry a water bottle with you if it gets hot and you want to drink more often than most. Most people will do just fine with the stations provided, even if it gets hot.

Permission
The race seeks permits and licenses for the following each year (updated Aug 3, 2024):
- Uppsala Municipality: Permit for activity in a nature reserve.
- County Administrative Board: Permission to build a temporary bridge over Pålsundet.
- Police Authority: Permission to set up tables at the Travel Center the two days before the race.
- Stim: License to play music during the event
- Swedish Tax Agency: Registration as an employer
The race does not need permission from the police to run in the area because it is outside the city.
