The starting area is the football field at Fjällnora.
The aim is to build a place where you can gather up to 1500 people in one place, separated from the usual bathers. We want people gathered but not crowded. In the middle, many people should be able to stand and listen to information. At each end of the area there is a start and finish. The start for 42-21-10 km is at the north end. The start for 5 km is at the south end. The finish for all distances is at the south end.
Thursday:
– We rent materials at IP Forest and that material will be picked up on Thursday morning.
– On Thursday evening, we will close off the far part of the small parking lot north of the starting area with a rope or with blue plastic tape “6 lakes”. Rental toilets will be put in place there on Friday.
– We will start building tents on Thursday. Tents will be placed according to the map. Be careful to anchor them. We have previously had problems with tents flying in the wind.
– Garbage stations are set up.
Friday:
– By Friday at the latest, the area will be built with tents etc. Some tents are being assembled by different companies.
– Toilets are supplied by another company and placed according to the map.
– The large water cistern is filled by Fjällnora.
– On Friday evening, all the tents are ready, the electricity is pulled out, the water tank is in place, tables and chairs are set up. Signs for registration, bags, etc. are set up.
– A stage is set up by a company, as is an information screen.
– Test the slideshow on the info screen, but don't leave your computer or anything else valuable outside overnight.
– A large hydration station will be set up in the middle of the area. Prepare a stock of water and sports drink cans ready to be distributed on Saturday.
– Beach flags set up. Make sure everything is secured against wind and rain if there is a risk.
Sound equipment is tested and prepared, but no valuables are stored overnight in Fjällnora.
Saturday
The aim is to give the runners a pleasant and safe environment to start and finish in. Safety is important. As is separating our participants from regular Fjällnora visitors.
Early in the morning (at 06:30) the last material is driven there (electronics, edibles and other things that are at risk of being stolen). From now on, everything is monitored.
– The timing (Neptron) is in place around 07:00. They set up a timing arch along the course and one at the finish. They move into the tent closest to the finish.
– The Red Cross sets up its own tent between the timing tent and the other tents
07:30 Officials gather to arrange:
– Number ticket distribution with lists, computer and piles of number tickets. (Open 09:00–11:30)
