The starting area is the upper part of the parking lot at Fjällnora. We rent equipment at IP Forest and that material will be collected on Thursday. By Thursday evening at the latest, we will close off the upper part of the parking lot with a rope or with blue plastic tape "6 lakes". Any cars or campers parked there should have a chance to drive out. Contact the owners, or leave a note. On Friday morning, the starting area must be cleared of unknown vehicles.
The aim is to build a place where you can gather over 500 people in a separate place, separated from the parking lot. We want people to be gathered but not crowded. In the middle, many people should be able to stand and listen to information. At each end of the area there is a start and finish. The start for 42-21-10 km is at the north end. The start for 5 km is at the south end. The finish for all distances is at the south end.
By Friday at the latest, the area is set up with tents and more. Tents are placed according to the map. Toilets are delivered by another company and placed according to the map. The large water cistern is filled by Fjällnora. On Friday evening, all tents are ready, electricity is brought forward, the water cistern is in place, tables and chairs are set up. Signs for registration, bags, etc. are set up. A stage is built with pallets. Some cans of water and sports drinks are ready. Beach flags are set up. Make sure everything is secured against wind and rain if there is a risk.
Sound equipment is tested and prepared, but no valuables are stored overnight in Fjällnora.
The starting area on race day (Link to Google maps)
The aim is to give the runners a pleasant and safe environment to start and finish in. Safety is important. As is separating our participants from regular Fjällnora visitors.
Early in the morning (06:30 a.m.) the last materials are brought there (electronics, edibles, and other items that are at risk of being stolen). From now on, everything is monitored.
The timing (Neptron) is in place around 07:00. They set up a timing arch along the course and one at the finish. They move into the tent closest to the finish.
The Red Cross sets up its own tent between the timing tent and the other tents.
At 07:30, officials gather to prepare:
– number plate distribution with lists, computer and piles of number plates. (Open 09:00–11:30)
– speaker system
– space for bags, put a tarpaulin on the ground to protect against dirt, prepare number tags to label luggage (Open 09:00–16:00)
– distribution of T-shirts to runners (they can pick up before or after the race). Only to those who have purchased, if you have not pre-ordered you can buy for 200 SEK subject to availability. (Open 09:00–16:00)
– distribution of Hydrapouch. All participants can get one. (Open 09:00–11:30)
– drinks tent with water jugs and sports drinks. There should be at least 6 of each on tables, ready to use. The same number should be standing behind ready. (Open 09:00–16:00)
– The food tent contains boxes that will be taken out to the hydration stations. This is where the runners will be served later in the day. We store sandwiches etc. for officials here.

08:50 registration opens and runners arrive. 10 people on site at 08:50–10:00. Fewer at 10:00–11:30.
09:00 first buses with runners arrive
09:40 information for marathon runners, 10:00 their start
10:10 information for half marathon runners, 10:30 their start time
10:40 information for 10km runners, 11:00 their start
11:10 information for 5km runners, 11:30 their start
11:05 we move the start from the north to the south end
11:35 we set up the start for 5 km, arrange medal ceremony and refreshments for runners
11:45 the first runners can enter.

Demolish the starting area
17:00 we start clearing the starting area, if any runners are left on the track we make sure to keep the most important things at the finish line.
By 19:00 PM, most things are packed up for transport. All valuables should be locked in cars. Toilets will be picked up the next day by a separate company.
